Q ; My swing gates have to swing up hill and I want to know can I have an Auto Gate motor?

A ; Yes! You can have an Auto Gate. Letron Auto Gates makes a unique pair ball racing hinge that enables the gates to swing uphill.

Q ; What size Solar Panel do I need for a gate motor I have been told I need a minimum of 100 watt.

A ; Letron Auto Gate motor is designed to operate on Solar and to depend on your location, a 20 or 40-watt solar panel is sufficient on majority of locations. Letron supplies the solar panel in the Letron solar motor gate opener kits. A 100-watt panel is not needed but if you are looking for a bigger solar system for your gate please speak to us and we can supply you with that option for upgrade.

Q ; I have a Letron Gate kit fitted to my swing gate and I would like to fit a lock to it. Do you have a lock that is suitable?

A ; Good news! Letron manufactures Electronic locks that suit either single or double gates. This lock draws no power when in the locked position

Q ; How do I let visitors through the gate ?

A ; Letron has a range of methods to allow access to your property. Wireless push button, wireless push button with key and a wireless keypad. We suggest the keypad outside the property and a push button with the key inside

Q ; A delivery truck hit the gate and now the gate motor is making a clunking noise. Do I have to buy a new motor?

A ; Good news for you! As Letron is the manufacturer of the motor, we have spare parts. We can repair or replace any parts to get the motor operating again.

Q : What do you suggest to prevent insects getting into the motor

A : There a few things to do to prevent insects damaging computer board. Make sure the area around the motor is free of weeds and plants. If you remove the motor cover and place some moth balls in there will help. Warning do not spray the inside with insect spray.

Q : I am not tech minded and I want to purchase 2 more remotes and how do I connect the to motor.

A : Letron designed the programming of remotes to be a very simple operation First remove motor cover and then remove clear plastic cover off computer board and on the small board ( match box size ) there is a black button push the button once and then push the number or letter on your remote. If you have a sliding gate same steps but there is no clear plastic cover to remove.

Q : My remote has stopped working and I am not sure what to do.

A : First is the light illuminating on the remote. If not the battery needs replacing. Its a common size battery available at most $2 type shops. If the light is working try reprogramming on a different number or letter.

Q : I want to buy another swing gate kit and my question is can I program on the remote to open either gate.

A : Yes you can and we suggest programming the new gate onto a different number or letter to the original gate.

Q : My friend bought your swinging gate gear and some really great hinges, can I just buy the hinges?

A : Yes you certainly can. Checkout our website.
